Celebrate the 70th Anniversary of the Garden's creation by 220 local African Americans, by visiting Mutambo. This outdoor art exhibition features 50 large stone sculptures created by Zimbabwe artists. 'Mutambo' depicts art, beauty and the people of the African continent. Through their work, the artists believe 'spirits are being freed from the stone.' The sculptures will be shipped from the famous Shona Sculpture Park in Zimbabwe and will be placed throughout the Garden in carefully selected landscaped areas. Some may be viewed from the tram; others will be discovered as visitors walk through the Garden.

The Virginia Beach Polo Club will host the 21st Annual Chukkers for Charity Polo Match. Proceeds from this year's event will go to benefit Hope House Foundation, a local non-profit organization providing independent living serves to adults with developmental disabilities and children's charities supported by the Hampton Roads Kiwanis Clubs. The gates at Alpha Omega Farm will open at 1:00pm on Saturday, and the polo matches begin at 3:00pm. The first match will be played by local players, followed by the main match between the British Military Polo Team and the Virginia Beach Polo Club. The event is followed by the Patrons Party, which includes a buffet dinner with music by F.A.B. (formerly Fat Ammons Band). Awards will be presented for Best Dressed Male, Best Dressed Female, Best Dressed Child, Best Hat and Best Tailgate. There will be lots of children's activities, including pony rides and an antique train ride. There is ample free parking, but for $50 there is an option to park along the field side where all the action is.

This is the 5th Annual Walk Against Domestic Violence presented by Samaritan House in support of Domestic Violence Awareness month. There will be music, food, and entertainment. The walk was created to raise awareness and funds for domestic violence issues in Hampton Roads. All proceeds will benefit Samaritan House services and programs.
