The Golden Gloves is the longest continual advancing tournament in Virginia and the USA. Their motto is 'Its Better To Build Boys Than Mend Men.' 'Golden Gloves Champion' is one of the most rewarding and prestigious titles in all of sports only to be surpassed by the title of Olympian. This tournament is the first step in that direction. There is very good chance that a future Olympian is among us now. Amateur boxing enjoys a long history of providing the youth a platform for the development of self-discipline, sportsmanship, and social values.
