    One of the world's leading string quartets, the St. Petersburg was founded (as the Leningrad Quartet) by four brilliant young graduates of the Leningrad Conservatory. The Quartet blazed a trail through international chamber music competitions, taking top honors and cementing its enviable reputation. Recently celebrating its 20th anniversary year, The St. Petersburg Quartet thrills audiences from Toronto to Tokyo, Lithuania to London and in major cities across the United States. Pianist Maxim Mogilevsky is a profound and virtuosic performer whose roots are firmly planted in the great Russian piano traditions. He made his Carnegie Hall debut in 2007 as soloist with the Kirov Orchestra under the baton of renowned conductor Valery Gergiev.
