In an effort to demystify abstract expressionism in art, Peninsula Fine Arts Center's Program Director and Curator Michael Preble hosts The Hows and Whys of Abstraction. Held in conjunction with Beyond the Image: Abstraction Today, Preble's presentation explores selected works among the 70 pieces exhibited. Beyond the Image: Abstraction Today showcases masters Stuart Davis, Hans Hofmann, Richard Diebenkorn, Sam Francis and Helen Frankenthaler.
