Add Review/CommentColonial Williamsburg celebrates the anniversary of the Battle of Yorktown with special programs that recall September 26, 27, and 28, 1781 - the last three days of the period when General Washington and Le Compte de Rochambeau, commander of French forces, were headquartered in Williamsburg, prior to the siege at Yorktown. Experience the tension and heightened emotions that the people of Williamsburg faced in the days before the pivotal battle of the Revolutionary War.
